George Benson has managed to capture the essence of surfing in his beautiful Longboard Fin Artwork. These fins are as they were on the 50's and 60's era surf boards. They are all handcrafted and unique, using maple, mahogany, walnut, redwood, birch and/or koa - depending on style or whim. All pieces in this collection are made by George, a surfer who was there then and now...still surfing and still driving a Woodie to the beach. We hope you'll enjoy this bit of surfing history.

T-Band with Stringers mounted Fin made from Mahogany and Maple. Beautifully finished and mounted on Bamboo backing with Bamboo Frame. Each fin is unique in design, however there are some general categories for you to choose from, e.g., T-Bands, Competition Stripes, Full rising Sun, 50-piece Mosaic, Random Width Stripes, Checkerboards and Diamonds. Fins may be cutom made to order . Plaque reads "Classic Surfing Longboard Fins from the 1950s and 1960s." Each piece is signed and numbered. $75- $100 plus shipping and handling. These Fin Clocks are each a collectors dream - a Longboard Fin design and a functional timepiece (even though we all know that surfers NEVER do care what time it is!) They may be ordered as table top models or ready to hang on the wall. Each fin is handcrafted in the designs that George has borrowed from the 50s and 60s, to be enjoyed by surfers and water men and women of today. $75 - $110 . The clock may be mounted either on the face of the fin or offset onto background. Sorry! These clocks are too popular, there were none available to picture at this time. Orders may be placed - general designs may be requested.  Beautiful Hat/Coat Racks are handcrafted from the same fine woods that George uses to make all of his Fin Art. Approximate size is 18 inches tall by 21 inches wide. Comes with complete mounting hardware including wooden "blind" caps to cover mounting screws. Fins are each unique and may vary in design. A sample of one of George's Wavecrest trophies may be viewed below and was on display at the Petersen Museum in Hollywood, California, along with the special Woodie collection currently on display.
